Champagne and Chemistry

Last night at Harry's Bar in Venice, a stunning Brazilian model asked why I collect magazines. I gestured to this month's Playboy sitting on the bar – Goldie Hawn, radiant in that martini glass, proving once again that the most intoxicating combination is beauty and wit.

Have you seen the interview? Classic Goldie – sharp, sexy, unafraid. The kind of woman who'd order a negroni and correct your pronunciation of 'Sbagliato.' My kind of trouble.

Between midnight dips at the Cipriani and dawn espressos at Florian's, I've been thinking about what makes chemistry spark. It's that same mix Goldie embodies – sophisticated enough to quote Ray Bradbury (also in this issue, coincidentally) while dancing on tables at Régine's.

Which brings me to our latest project at Dial Tone. We're building something for people who understand that the best encounters balance danger with refinement. The ones who know why you'd pair Ornellaia with Jimmy Cliff, who get that true connection happens somewhere between the philosopher and the fool.

Speaking of which, that Brazilian model? Turns out she's doing her doctorate in Comparative Literature at the Sorbonne. We're meeting for aperitivo at Giacomo's next week. I'll let you know if she's read Bradbury.
